Privacy

Who owns the content (photos, videos and / or notes) that I upload on timlapp?

Each timlapp user is the owner of the content he uploads. Only he can modify, delete or share them.

Who can see the content (photos, videos and / or notes) that I upload on timlapp?

You decide with which users you want to share the content and what content you want to share. You can grant and revoke these permissions whenever you want.

Who can modify the content that I upload on timlapp?

Only you. The attributes of each content (photo, video and / or note), such as the title, description, dates, etc., can only be modified by you, because it is you who they belong to, even if you have decided that other users can see it.

Who can delete the content that is uploaded on timlapp?

Each user what uploaded.

Can I stop sharing my content (photos, videos and / or notes)?

Yes. The decision to share or revoke this permission is yours.

If I leave an episode, what happens to the content (photos, videos and / or notes that I contributed?

You can only leave an episode if there is no content from you. Delete them, move them to another episode, or transfer them to another protagonist from that episode, before leaving. Chat conversations will be deleted when you leave the episode.

If I leave timlapp, what happens to my data and all the content that I contributed?

If you decide to leave Timlapp, all photos, videos, melodies, text notes, audios and chat conversations will be deleted. We will not save any information about you.

What are the values ​​in the CONFIGURATION section used for?

The values ​​that you indicate in Country, Province and City, will be used as default values ​​in the location of the activities that you are adding. This will avoid having to type in these values ​​when you are documenting past episodes. The "start date of my story" will be the moment from which you decide to document your own story. We recommend that it be the date of your birth. In the section "My story" you will see a chronological line with those years in which they have documented an episode and those that do not have any.

If in the CONFIGURATION section I activate the option "use geolocation", what does it mean?

If you activate this option, when you add new activities, timlapp will show you the data related to country, province, city, etc. where you are at that moment. It is only about avoiding having to type it and speeding up the creation of new activities. Timlapp does not track your device.

Where is my data stored?

The data you upload to timlapp is stored in our cloud, as indicated in our use and privacy policies. This allows you to access timlapp from any device, identifying yourself with your credentials.

When I upload content (photos and / or videos) from the gallery of my smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc., are they removed from these devices?

No. The fact of uploading them to timlapp from the photo / video gallery of your smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc., does not imply that they are removed from said devices.

How is it guaranteed that no one can access my account?

In the registration process we will ask you for an email address and a password. We will send you an email, which you will have to confirm, to verify that the email you indicated is yours. Once you confirm it, to enter timlapp you must indicate your email address and your password. This will be the only way to access your account. Do not share your username and password with other people.

What should I do if I forget my password?

If when you are trying to enter timlapp you realize that you do not remember your password, you can indicate it by clicking on the option "I have forgotten my password". We will send you an email with a link that you must press so that you can assign yourself a new password.

From which device can I access timlapp?

You can access the website www.timlapp.com from any device that has a browser installed (laptop, PC, tablet, etc.). For smartphones there are specific applications for both Android and IOS (Apple), which you can get from their corresponding download portals.

What happens if I lose my mobile?

Nothing. When you have a new mobile, you just have to reinstall the application and continue using it, accessing with your credentials (email and password).

What happens if I change my Android mobile for an Apple or vice versa?

There is no problem. Reinstall the application on the new device and access with your credentials (email and password).

Does Timlapp carry out any kind of tracking of the locations where I carry out activities?

No. Timlapp does not carry out any type of monitoring of the locations that you indicate in your activities.

Does Timlapp share my information or the content that I upload with third parties (companies and / or people)?

No. Timlapp does not share any type of information about its users or its contents with third parties (companies and / or people).

To each his own. It is possible to transfer content to other protagonists of the same episode, if you want that content not to consume space of your quota. Note: The receiving user must accept the transfer.

How many participants can there be in one episode?

Those that are necessary. To ensure privacy, avoid including users you don't know or who have no real participation in the episode.

What resolution does timlapp keep of each photo and / or video that I upload to the application?

Photos and videos are uploaded to timlapp with the same resolution with which they were captured.

How can I see how many photos / videos / notes I have uploaded to Timlapp and how much data space they occupy?

Click on your photo and, in the options menu, choose "Statistics". Here you will find this information. In addition, each episode has its own "Statistics" section in which you can compare how much content you have contributed vs. what the other protagonists have contributed.

If I run out of space, can I expand it?

Yes. In the "Data extensions" section you will find the procedure to carry out the data extensions you need. In addition, here you will find the rates of the extensions. Once you make the extension, Timlapp will send you an informative email and will show you in this section the history of all the extensions you have made, along with the annual subscription fee and the payment date. Note: Payment for extensions is made through the Apple and Google platforms.

Functioning

If I delete something, can I get it back?

Yes. When you delete content, it is transferred to the BIN. From there, you can recover it or permanently delete it.

Can I leave the country, province and city values ​​blank?

Yes you can. You decide whether or not it makes sense for an activity to be linked to a place.

How is information saved in timlapp?

Your content (photos, videos and blog) are stored in a 2-level structure:

The participants (protagonists and spectators) are assigned to episodes.

Each episode has a chat for its participants.

How do I create a new episode?

Use the orange button that you will find at the bottom right, on most screens.

Timlapp will ask you for the episode title (required field) and other optional fields (photo, date and description). The episode and the first activity will be created automatically. How do I create a new activity?

How do I upload photos or videos to timlapp?

Can I upload multiple photos and / or videos simultaneously from my device's gallery?

Yes. When you are uploading photos and / or videos from your device's gallery, you can select one or more images. Keep in mind that, when timlapp asks you for privacy, date, time and title, what you indicate will be assigned to each of the photos and / or videos that you are uploading. These values ​​can be modified whenever you want. The photos and / or videos are uploaded to timlapp, but they are not removed from the gallery of your device.

Who can create episodes?

Who can upload photos and videos?

Who can use the CHAT of an episode?

How to add other users to "my contacts"?

The list of your contacts is made up of all those timlapp users with whom you share an episode. Timlapp updates this list automatically, adding or removing contacts, as you share or stop sharing episodes. Timlapp does not access your device's contacts.

How do I invite other users to participate in my episode?

Within the episode, go to the PARTICIPANTS option and press the ADD button. Type your email, indicate the role with which you want to participate (protagonist or spectator) and press INVITE. The invited user, and the other participants of the episode, will receive a notification informing that there is a new participant and the role with which they participate.

How can I remove a participant from an episode?

Within the episode, go to the PARTICIPANTS option. Select the participant you want to remove and press the corresponding button. Remember that if this participant has contributed content to the episode, you will not be able to do so. He must be the one who leaves the episode deciding what to do with the content he contributed: Delete it or move it to another episode.

Who can upload photos and / or videos to an activity?

The protagonist who created it and, if you decided to make it publicly accessible, all the protagonists of the episode.

Who can upload notes to the BLOG of an activity?

Who can use the chat?

Can spectators contribute content (photos, videos and / or notes)?

No. They can only view what protagonists upload, as public, and participate in the chat.

How can I search for photos, videos, etc.?

Can I share the contents of an episode (photos / videos) with other people who are not Timlapp users?

Only if you participate in the episode as the protagonist. The content that you will share will only be those that you have uploaded. Look in the menu for the option "Share with", indicate the email of the person you want to view your content and you will receive an email with a link to view them. At any time you can see who you are sharing the episode with and you can revoke this permission whenever you want.

Can I indicate the cost of the activities that I carry out?

Yes. When you add a new activity or when you edit it, in the "details" section you will find the "cost" field.

How does Timlapp help me plan an episode?

Each episode has a "Preparations" section in which you can indicate the requirements to take into account to carry out the episode. In addition, you can indicate the cost (if they have it) and attach files in pdf format that contain additional information.

Does Timlapp carry out any type of accounting for the costs of the activities?

Yes. Timlapp adds the costs of the activities and groups them by activity group. In addition, it accounts for the expenses of the preparations. In the "Expenses" section you can see the accumulated by concepts.

Can I see the places I have visited on the map?

Yes. In the World Map section you can see the places visited. Timlapp will place a pin in each place, of a different color depending on the activity group you did.

In addition, each episode has a MAP section where you can see the places where you did activities in that episode.

Can I quickly consulate in which years I carried out activities and which ones not?

Yes. In the section "My story" you can find this information.

Can I download the photos / videos / notes from Timlapp to my device?

Yes. You can do it individually or by selecting a group. This download does not delete your Timlapp content. From the web app, you can download complete activities and / or complete episodes. Remember that you can only download the content that you have uploaded.

How do I transfer ownership of my content to another protagonist?

Select the photo / video / note, or a group of these, and choose the option “transfer”. Timlapp will show you the list of protagonists of the episode to whom you can transfer your content. Choose the protagonist and that user will receive a transfer notification. If you accept it, the contents will become your property.

In the "Transfers" section you will find the transfers made and / or received, pending acceptance.

Can I assign a background melody when viewing my photos?

Yes. First you have to include melodies in Timlapp. You can do it in the "Melodies" section. Afterwards, you can edit an episode or an activity and assign the melody you want.

Can I bookmark my content as favorite?

Yes. You can bookmark episodes, activities, photos, videos, text notes, and audios. On the Home screen you will find the "Favorites" section where you can view these contents.

Can I plan episodes to do in the future?

Yes. When you add an episode, indicate the expected date when you will do it and mark it with the corresponding button that you will find on the image of the episode. All these episodes will be displayed on the Home screen, in the "Wish List" section. When you do a planned episode, remember to uncheck it so that it no longer shows it in this section.
